Zamboni driver? Cook? ShoWare Center seeking job applicants

If you ever wanted to work driving a Zamboni, now’s your chance. Same goes for being an usher, ticket-taker, parking attendant, bartender, buffet cashier, cook, dishwasher or any one of a handful of other jobs.

The ShoWare Center is looking to recruit workers to fill event-driven, part-time positions, according to a release Friday from the Kent facility.

To develop a list of applicants suited for the jobs, ShoWare Center will conduct a hiring event July 27 from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30pm.

General descriptions of each position and application can be found at ShoWareCenter.com/venue/employment.

Savor, the facility’s in-house food and beverage provider, also will be looking to hire qualified applicants.

Among the particulars:

▪  Interviews will last approximately 10 minutes.

▪  Applicants should enter through the South doors along James Street.

▪  Promptness is necessary as the doors will close at the stated end time, at which point no more applicants will be allowed in.

▪  Applicants should bring a completed application, available online at ShoWareCenter.com. A resume and list of references is optional. Background checks will be conducted.
