Washington state COVID-19 cases now at 1,524 with 83 deaths

Washington state on Friday was up to 1,524 coronavirus cases with 83 deaths since the start of the outbreak.

The total was an increase of 148 cases and nine deaths over Thursday.

King County continues to be the hardest hit, with 793 cases and 67 deaths, followed by Snohomish County with 385 cases and eight deaths.

Pierce County has the third-most cases in the state, with 83 confirmed cases as of Friday and 1 death.

Skagit County is fourth, with 25 cases. There are 133 cases listed on the state Department of Health’s website that remain to be assigned to a county.

Since the start of the outbreak, 21,719 of the suspected cases tested statewide have come back negative, or about 93 percent.
