South Hill Mall to close after Washington state governor issues coronavirus stay-at-home order

South Hill Mall in Puyallup is shutting down to comply with Gov. Jay Inslee’s order to close all but essential businesses to slow the spread of the coronavirus across Washington.

Some stores, like Target, Chase Bank, Pearle Vision and Lenscrafters, will remain open.

Restaurants still will be permitted to sell food for carry-out, drive-thru or delivery. Those include Red Robin, Applebee’s, BJ’s Brewhouse, Dutch Bros. Coffee, Panera Bread, Jack in the Box and Olive Garden.

The mall will close Tuesday at 7 p.m. and remain closed until April 6 or when Inslee rescinds the “stay at home” order.
