Auburn man missing from mental health facility, police say

An Auburn man with the mental capacity of a 10-year-old has gone missing from his mental health facility, according to Auburn police.

Nathan Prowse, 53, was last seen about 8 p.m. Thursday at the Chartley House, 505 29th St. SE.

Prowse is 5-foot-10 and weighs about 165 pounds, and he has brown hair and hazel eyes. He was last seen wearing a long-sleeved green T-shirt and blue jeans held up with a plastic bag fashioned as a belt.

Prowse has COPD and has to take medication for it, but he likely will not be able to feed himself or medicate himself while away from the facility.
