Barbecue, anyone? Burn ban finally lifted
Summer barbecues are possible again after the burn ban was lifted Friday throughout most of Western Washington.
Smoke levels in most cities ranked moderate or good, enabling Puget Sound Clean Air Agency to lift the ban in Pierce, King, Kitsap and Snohomish counties.
Winds are carrying the smoke from the British Columbia wildfires out of the area and forecasts don’t show it returning anytime soon.
“That means we return to our more typical summertime good air quality,” the agency said in a release.
