Man killed while walking on SR 7 is identified
A man who died when a car hit him as he walked on state Route 7 has been identified as Ian Michael Blair.
Troopers do not know why Blair, 34, was walking on the highway late Saturday.
It was about 11 p.m. when a Chevrolet Impala traveling north struck him on the Mountain Highway at 221st Street Court E.
The driver, a 57-year-old Puyallup woman, remained at the scene until troopers arrived.
Blair was taken to St. Joseph Medical Center in Tacoma, where he died early Sunday.
