Sea otters are taking over Twitter. Internet’s response: ‘Awww’
It’s Sea Otter Awareness Week, and zoos and aquariums are promoting the occasion by flooding the internet with cuteness.
Using the hashtag #seaottertweetoff, zoos are tweeting pictures and videos of their sea otters. Minnesota Zoo tweeted an image of a smiling sea otter getting toweled down by a worker. It also doubled down on puns (a round of a-paws and otterly adorable) with an picture of a clapping, backstroking otter.
So far, Point Defiance Zoo contributed video of a playful otter and pictures two otters snuggling and of an otter enjoying a snack.
