1 ejected, seriously hurt in Graham wreck, officials say

A man was critically injured Saturday night after being ejected from his SUV during a two-vehicle crash south of Graham, according to Graham Fire & Rescue.

The crash happened about 7 p.m. on 304th Street East at its intersection with Webster Road East, Graham Fire Assistant Chief Steve Richards said.

A woman driving a car pulled out in front of the man’s SUV, forcing him to drive down an embankment, Richards said.

The man’s SUV then struck a utility pole, ejecting him from the vehicle, Richards said. He is in critical condition and being transported to Tacoma General Hospital for his injuries.

The woman driving the car suffered minor injuries.

Pierce County sheriff’s deputies are investigating the collision.
