Man found after Silver Alert issued in Puyallup

UPDATE, 3 p.m. Saturday: Donald Pearson was found safe and sound Saturday afternoon about 2 p.m. in Tacoma’s South End, according to Puyallup police.

ORIGINAL STORY: A Silver Alert has been issued for a missing 82-year-old man who police say has Alzheimer’s or age-related dementia.

Donald Pearson was last seen near the intersection of South Meridian and 39th Avenue in Puyallup. He was driving a tan 2011 Toyota Sienna van and following his wife home from an auto repair shop at about 4:15 p.m. when they got separated. He has not been seen since.

Pearson is 5-foot-9, 200 pounds with gray hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a blue and gray striped sweater, jeans, a black leather belt and black wingtip shoes with no socks. His license plate is “AXD 1678.”

He does not have his wallet or phone with him, according to a Puyallup Police Department Facebook post.

Those with information about Pearson’s location should contact authorities. The Washington State Department of Transportation says those with information about Silver Alerts should call 911.
