Two people were injured when their glider crashed into a field near South Prairie on Thursday afternoon, according to East Pierce Fire & Rescue.

Crews were dispatched about 2:30 p.m. to a field in the 14100 block of 274th Avenue East, where a glider crashed, East Pierce Fire Chief Bud Backer said.

The two occupants of the glider suffered non-life-threatening injuries, Backer said. One was transported to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle for treatment; the other was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital in Puyallup.
