Why make 10 safe trips when you can get the job done in a single, dangerous journey?

That’s what one Tacoma driver did Wednesday, piling at least 10 mattresses into the back of a pickup and setting out on Interstate 5.

The Washington State Patrol quickly caught up with the leaning tower of mattress in the southbound lanes of I-5, just south of state Route 512. The driver was cited for failing to properly secure the load.
