Gig Harbor woman has critical injuries after being struck by a vehicle on Burnham Drive

A pedestrian crossing a Gig Harbor road was struck by a vehicle late Friday night. She is hospitalized Saturday with critical injuries, according to police.

The Gig Harbor woman, 65, was in the 9600 block of Burnham Drive when she was struck by a westbound vehicle, according to Gig Harbor police.

“It was dark with heavy rain at the time of the accident,” Gig Harbor police said in a statement. Driver impairment was not a factor, they said.

The accident is being investigated by Gig Harbor police and the Washington State Patrol.
