Woman killed in Lakewood house fire
A woman died Thursday during a house fire in Lakewood, according to West Pierce Fire & Rescue.
The woman has not yet been identified.
Firefighters were called about 2:30 p.m. to a home in the 7500 block of Dowderdell Lane and found the house filled with heavy smoke.
During a search of the home, crews found the woman inside.
She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators have not determined what started the fire.
