Roger Waters kicks off new tour this year with concert set at Tacoma Dome
Roger Waters announced Thursday he’ll hit the road this summer with a new tour, which includes a stop at the Tacoma Dome.
The former Pink Floyd member will perform at the Dome Sept. 19 as part of his “This Is Not A Drill” tour.
He’ll play in 31 cities in the United States and Canada.
“It’ll be a new show. It will be no-holds-barred,” Waters told Rolling Stone about his upcoming tour. “My work is to think, ‘Well, how can I make rock & roll more interesting or theatrical or exciting or visual or musical or whatever?’ That’s what I’ve spent the last 50 years doing, expressing myself.”
Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Jan. 31. Nab them at ticketmaster.com or at the Heritage Bank Box Office at the Tacoma Dome, 2727 E. D St.
This tour follows the worldwide Us + Them tour in 2017 and 2018.
Waters is best known for his time as Pink Floyd’s bassist, singer, songwriter and composer.
In 2017, he released his first solo album in 25 years titled “Is This The Life We Really Want?”
