Driver killed in collision on River Road East in Puyallup
A 58-year-old man died Thursday night after pulling out in front of a pickup in Puyallup, according to the Washington State Patrol.
The victim has not been identified.
The crash occurred about 9:15 p.m. on River Road East near 78th Avenue East.
Troopers said the man, who was driving a Hyundai, turned out of a lounge parking lot onto River Road and was struck by a northbound Dodge Ram.
The driver of the Dodge, a 25-year-old Oregon man, was taken to area hospital with injuries.
River Road was blocked for more than three hours during the investigation.
