Pedestrian dies after being struck by car near White River Amphitheatre

A man was struck and killed by a car early Saturday morning near White River Amphitheatre.

The 30-year-old Auburn man was hit by a Hyundai Sonata at about 4:30 a.m. Saturday, according to the Washington State Patrol.

The Hyundai, driven by a 30-year-old Enumclaw man, was traveling westbound on state Route 164 when the vehicle struck the Auburn man at SE 408th Street, according to the State Patrol. The victim was in the travel lane of SR 164.

The pedestrian was transported to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. His identity was withheld by authorities pending notification of next of kin.
