Man injured in drive-by shooting in Tacoma. Police searching for suspect

A man was injured in drive-by shooting in Tacoma on Thursday afternoon.

Tacoma police are searching for a suspect.

The incident occurred in the 1600 block of South G Street.

Police said a white male in his 20s drove up next to the victim in a blue pickup at 4:10 p.m. and confronted him over money.

The suspect then shot the man in the leg and drove off, police reported.

The victim was alert when transported to a nearby hospital.
