A pedestrian was killed Tuesday night after being struck by a train in Tacoma.

The man was sitting on the tracks at Hidden Beach Road and Sixth Avenue when a northbound train hit him just before 10 p.m.

This is the seventh fatality between a pedestrian and train in Washington state this year, according to a BNSF spokesman.
