Tacoma temperatures warming up, could hit 80 by the weekend

The recent cloudy and cooler temperatures are about to be replaced.

Temperatures in the Tacoma-Seattle area are on the rise this week, and forecasters said it could hit 80 degrees Saturday.

The beginning of the week is more of the same but by Thursday, a high-pressure ridge moves in and warmer weather starts to take over.

The National Weather Service is predicting “... several much warmer days with abundant sunshine.”

It’ll be upper 60s Thursday, mid-70s on Friday and could surge to 80 on Saturday.

Clouds and cooler temperatures return Sunday as marine air surges inland.
