What to expect at the Puyallup Tribe’s Firecracker Alley event this year

Puyallup Tribe’s annual Firecracker Alley will look a little different this year. For one, there won’t be a fireworks show.

The event is also shorter than it has been in past years. Firecracker Alley will run June 19 to July 4 near the Emerald Queen Riverboat dock at 2102 Alexander Ave. in Tacoma. Last year, Firecracker Alley was a month-long event.

To protect against the spread of COVID-19, guests will be required to wear masks and practice social distancing.

Firecracker Alley will feature about 85 tribal-owned stands selling food, drinks and fireworks.

“Firecracker Alley is important to many of us,” said Puyallup Tribal Chairman David Z. Bean in a press release. “It is where many of us got our start in business. It has become a family tradition.”
