Man killed in two-car collision in Tacoma on July 6 has been identified
The man killed in a two-car collision in Tacoma on July 6 has been identified as Justin Hale, 39, of Gig Harbor, according to the Pierce County Medical Examiner’s Office.
The cause of death was blunt force trauma to the head and torso.
The collision occurred during the afternoon at South 56th Street and South Cushman Avenue, police said.
Hale was pronounced dead at the scene. He was driving a sedan and crossed over the double yellow lines, striking a Chevy Silverado truck traveling in the opposite direction, according to Tacoma Police Department spokesperson Wendy Haddow. She said the woman in the truck is being treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Haddow said the police have not yet determined a cause for the crash.
