1 dead after shooting in Ruston Saturday night, police say
A man was shot and killed in Ruston Saturday night, according to the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department.
About 11:15 p.m. Saturday, police were dispatched to the 5300 block of Yacht Club Road in Ruston after a 911 caller reported that a man had been shot in the area.
Tacoma and Ruston police arrived and provided first aid to the 19-year-old man, but he eventually died at the scene, said Sgt. Darren Moss with the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department.
The county has a contract with the city of Ruston to handle its homicide investigations, Moss said.
