For the second time this year, Chaos the horse leaves home for state Route 512
Trooper Robert Reyer became concerned when his colleague called-in on Saturday morning to say “chaos on [state Route] 512.”
This chaos caused a bit of a slow-down, but didn’t involve vehicles. Chaos is a horse, and he likes to walk onto highways.
For the second time in seven months, Washington State Patrol helped to walk Chaos off of state Route 512 on the Canyon Road ramp.
His owner told police that he escaped over the fence. He said cars have crashed and lowered the fence, making it easier for Chaos to jump.
On both occasions, a passerby captured the horse and walked him down the ramp as police followed behind to ensure no car hit them, Reyer said.
They walked Chaos to the Toys R Us parking lot and the owner, who had been chasing him, arrived shortly after.
Troopers had a harder time tracking down his owner on April 26. He was walking in and out of both lanes on east state Route 512 at Canyon Rd, when a neighbor saw Chaos and made a Facebook post to locate the owner.
“That’s a fitting name. I’m just glad he isn’t hurt,” Reyer said.
No one was charged, but Chaos got a warning, Reyer said.
