Where to get a COVID-19 test in Pierce County on Thursday, Jan. 6
Demand for COVID-19 tests is high as new cases of the coronavirus in Pierce County continue to climb. Thousands were infected with the virus in the last week.
The Tacoma-Pierce County Health Department and Pierce County government are operating sites where people can go to get tested, including options for drive-thru, walk-up and take-home tests.
The Washington State Fair Bronze Lot in Puyallup opened as a new site Thursday, and it will run for two months. The wait time there to get a test was just 15 minutes as of about 11:30 a.m., said Kenny Via, Tacoma-Pierce County Health Department’s COVID-19 media representative.
