A man driving a City of Tacoma Public Works truck was involved in a two-vehicle rollover collision downtown, police said.

The 39-year-old man driving the truck had only minor knee pain, and the 34-year-old woman who hit him was not injured. Police said the public works driver was at fault in the crash, according to the collision report.

The woman was traveling north on Tacoma Avenue South at about 1:43 p.m. Thursday, and the public works driver was traveling west on South 11th Street. Police said the woman drove into the intersection at the same time as the public works driver, and she didn’t have time to brake or swerve to avoid the collision.

The public works driver’s truck spun and flipped over onto its roof.
