River Ridge High School in Lacey evacuated after bomb threat
River Ridge High School was evacuated Tuesday morning after a bomb threat, according to Lacey police and a district official.
About 9:25 a.m., the school received a call from someone who said there was a bomb at the school and provided a series of room numbers, according to police. Students were evacuated, North Thurston Public Schools spokesman Aaron Wyatt said.
Police searched the school but nothing was found.
The evacuation order was lifted about 12:30 p.m, Wyatt said.
This is the second such threat at the school since last month. In early February, an active shooter threat resulted in students being sent home for the day.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Lacey police at 360-459-4333 or South Sound Crime Stoppers at 800-222-8477.
