Pierce County man hit and killed on I-5 near Kent has been identified
A Lakewood man who was hit and killed by a pick-up truck on I-5 near Kent Friday afternoon has been identified, according to Washington State Patrol.
Dominic G. Njuguna, 35, died at the scene.
About 4:30 p.m. Friday, a 63-year-old Ocean Park man was headed north in the truck on I-5 in the area of 260th Street South.
Troopers say Njuguna was crossing from east to west in the HOV lane when the collision occurred.
Traffic was slowed in the area for more than two hours, according to State Patrol.
