Where the heck is our sunshine? Forecasters say it may arrive fashionably late

Don’t lather yourself with sunscreen just yet — clouds and rain are here to stay for a few more days.

The National Weather Service expects showers to come in the Tacoma area after 2 p.m. Saturday. Clouds will hover for most of the day. Rain will blanket the area at night. Chance of precipitation: 100 percent.

The following day, showers will continue with a possibility of thunderstorms after 11 a.m. This will continue through the night before 11 p.m.

Monday may give Tacomans a sliver of hope — it will be a partly sunny day with a 40 percent chance of showers. It will be partly cloudy at night.

Tuesday is the day people may want to head outside. It will be mostly sunny, reaching nearly 71 degrees. However, there will be a chance of rain after 11 p.m., reaching a low of about 55 degrees.

Rain and showers will return Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
