Do you drive the Sumner Tapps highway? Prepare for delays and flaggers this week
Road crews will descend on Sumner Tapps Highway East the week of Aug. 8 to add a new layer of asphalt between West Tapps Drive East and the Auburn city limits, the county announced.
And that means delays for commuters.
The work will take place from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Drivers can expect to encounter alternating one-way traffic, as well as flaggers who will help traffic navigate the work area, according to the county.
The site is one of several throughout the county to receive new asphalt as part of the county’s 2022 overlay program.
