The Bellingham Herald file

Two Lakewood residents were thrown from their motorcycle and injured after failing to round a highway off-ramp in Grays Harbor County early Saturday morning, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Driver Dominick S. Jackson and passenger Cayla A. Jackson, both 29, were exiting westbound State Route 8 at Mox Chehalis Road near McCleary at about 12:40 a.m. when Dominick Jackson lost control of his Suzuki motorcycle, according to WSP.

Both motorcyclists were thrown about 20 feet into the shoulder and the Suzuki motorcycle landed nearby, WSP said. The riders both wore helmets.

The motorcyclists were transported to a hospital in Elma by ambulance, according to WSP. The hospital declined to release their conditions to The News Tribune.

Troopers cited Jackson for negligent driving and driving with a suspended license.
