Here’s how first lady Jill Biden’s WA visit will impact your commute and travels

First lady Jill Biden is coming to the Seattle and Tacoma area on Friday and may impact your morning commute or travel plans.

Biden will land at King County International Airport on Friday at approximately 3:15 p.m, and then attend an event at Bates Technical College Tacoma campus at 4:15 p.m, according to a White House press release.

On Saturday, Biden is expected to attend an event for U.S. Sen. Patty Murray at noon, and later host an event for military and veteran families at the Pacific Science Center in Seattle starting at 1 p.m., according to the White House.

Drivers and commuters should expect road closures, delays and detours as Biden’s motorcade travels from each location.

Drivers should also be aware of other planned road closures and construction delays that the Washington State Department of Transportation has announced:
