Man shot and killed on Puyallup trust land, Tacoma police say

A 31-year-old man was shot late Tuesday night on Puyallup tribal trust land and later died, according to the Tacoma Police Department.

South Sound 911 received a report at 11:12 p.m. Tuesday of a shooting in the 2100 block of East George Street.

Puyallup Tribal Police responded to the scene and requested that Tacoma police respond to the hospital where the victim had been driven.

The man was declared dead at the hospital.

Tacoma police are heading up the homicide investigation at the request of tribal police. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
