Northbound Pacific Avenue from South 30th to South 27th streets in Tacoma will be down to one lane Monday and Tuesday while the city conducts repairs to the roadway.

The City of Tacoma’s Street Operations Division has scheduled maintenance of the lane nearest the curb. The affected area runs from just north of the overpass of Interstate 5 and just south of the intersection with South Tacoma Way, entering downtown.

The street will be closed by 6 a.m. Monday through Tuesday around 4 p.m., according to a release.

Traffic can pass through the work area in the left lane.

Southbound traffic — headed up the Pacific Avenue hill toward the Lincoln District — will not be affected.

The repairs are weather-dependent. Signs will alert drivers of construction in the area.
