A 3-year-old child in Tacoma was transported to a medical facility Thursday afternoon after being struck by a parent’s vehicle. The boy ended up with no injuries.

Local authorities received reports of a vehicle collision at 1 p.m. in the 800 block of South 86th Street, according to Tacoma police spokesperson Shelbie Boyd. A parent was backing their vehicle out of a residential area when their son darted behind the car and was hit, Boyd said.

The child was transported to the hospital, but no injuries were reported, Boyd said. The parent isn’t facing any legal action.
