A triple shooting in Federal Way killed two men and injured another Friday night, police said.

At 11:25 p.m., police received reports of a shooting at the Twin Lakes Safeway, 2109 S.W. 336th St. Officers found two men inside a parked car, dead, and a third man nearby with critical injuries. All three were in their 20s, according to a statement from police commander Kurt Schwan.

“Preliminarily, it appears another vehicle pulled up to the victim’s car in the parking lot, some sort of argument may have ensued, and then someone from the suspect’s vehicle shot into the victim’s vehicle,” Schwan said in an emailed statement. “The suspect vehicle then fled the scene.”

Hours later, another man in his 20s appeared at the Federal Way Police Department and turned himself in, claiming to be the shooter, Schwan said. The man is in custody, and detectives are interviewing him.
