Updated: I-5 back open in Tacoma after multiple lanes were closed following wreck Friday

Update: The collision on I-5 was cleared at about 12:24 p.m., according to a tweet from the WSDOT.

Previous post: A vehicle collision is blocking multiple lanes on northbound Interstate 5 in Tacoma.

The collision is blocking the four left lanes on I-5 at McKinley Street, according to a tweet from the Washington State Department of Transportation.

WSDOT is asking travelers on I-5 to move to the right due to the collision.

The police investigation has been completed about the collision and tow trucks are on the scene, according to WSDOT.

A northbound lane has been reopened as crews work to clean up the scene. Traffic extends back to to 38th Street.
