Washington State Patrol seeks witnesses of northbound I-5 shooting
The Washington State Patrol is seeking witnesses to a shooting that occurred early in the morning July 12 near Port of Tacoma Road in Fife.
The shooting took place between two vehicles on northbound Interstate 5, the Washington State Patrol reported in a media release.
Around 1 a.m., a maroon passenger vehicle with tinted windows passed a black Ford Focus in the HOV lane, the news release stated. While passing, an occupant of the maroon vehicle shot at the driver of the Ford Focus, leaving a bullet embedded in the victim’s door. The maroon car continued north..
The shooting did not result in any injuries, according to the media release.
Investigators have not received additional details from witnesses about the suspect and vehicle. The Washington State Patrol has requested that anyone who witnessed the incident or can provide more information about the suspect or vehicle contact detective Kevin Pratt at 253-538-3173.
