Domestic violence incident leads to standoff with armed, barricaded suspect in Puyallup

A domestic violence incident in Puyallup turned into a standoff with a barricaded and armed suspect early Saturday morning, according to tweets from Puyallup Police.

Officers, including a SWAT team, responded to the scene in the 1900 block of 13th Avenue Northwest around 5 a.m.

Police closed a 2-block area between 18th and 20th Street Northwest during the incident.

Approximately an hour later, the suspect was safely taken into custody, police reported.
