Movie night at the film location: Stadium High School to show ’10 Things I Hate About You’

Looking to experience being on the set of a 1999 cult classic film “10 Things I Hate About You” while also watching the film?

Stadium High School is hosting a movie night in the Stadium Bowl in partnership with Pretty Gritty Tours, a walking tour company in Washington state. The film will screen for one night only, this Saturday, Sept. 9 from 6 to 10 p.m. It’s the second year in a row for the event.

The movie is part of a back-to-school fundraising event that will help provide scholarship money and programs that will help Stadium High School students, according to a Facebook post by Pretty Gritty Tours.

The classic film, which was partly filmed in Stadium High School, will be shown on a jumbo screen on the football field. The event will have food trucks and concessions available on-site.

Pretty Gritty Tours will also be leading limited one-hour tours through Stadium High School to show people the film locations that were used in the movie. The film tours will only be led on Sept. 9 and tickets are sold out.

“10 Things I Hate About You” is an American teen romantic film that features Heath Ledger, Julia Stiles, Larisa Oleynik and Joseph Gordon-Levitt and is based on William Shakespeare’s comedy “The Taming of the Shrew.”

  • Food trucks: 5 p.m.

  • Doors: 6 p.m.

  • Movie time: 7:45 p.m.

Tickets to the Sept. 9 event are $10 per person and are required to enter the stadium. Tickets are available for purchase at tickettailor.com.

Parking

Stadium parking garage

Parking at the stadium parking garage is $20 per car and is first come first serve.

Street parking

Street parking is available and free around the high school, but is limited.
