Have you ever been walking down the street with a piece of trash in your hand and decided to throw the trash into someone else’s trash can? Maybe the trash can was just sitting out on the sidewalk or you saw it in an alley, or alongside someone’s house - and it was easier to throw it there than to find a public trash can.

Probably most of us have done this at some point in our lives. But how often do people use someone else’s can? What if it’s your can and you find unwanted litter, like a used doggie bag.

We want to know what you think about throwing trash in someone else’s trash can. Do you typically do this? Or have you ever thrown trash in someone else’s trash can?

We also want to know if you have you been on the receiving end of strangers throwing trash into your trash can, and how that made you feel. Have you found any strange items in your trash can?
