Advanced registered nurse practitioner

  • Department: Tacoma Fire Department

  • Salary: $112,278.40 - $158,080, annually

  • Description: The advanced registered nurse practitioner provides medical oversight to a team of mobile registered nurses and behavioral health crisis responders and works in a non-emergency operational capacity as part of a crisis response team aimed at providing appropriate and therapeutic services to those experiencing behavioral health crisis. This person will also focus on establishing operating protocols and best practices for crisis unit responders regarding behavioral and mental health crises, the identification and treatment/management of underlying medical conditions, and the prevention or further exacerbation of chronic illnesses.

  • Qualifications: A master’s degree from an advanced nursing education program accredited by a national nursing accreditation body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and five years of experience in acute care (ED, ICU, Internal Medicine).

Audit risk and controls manager

  • Description: The audit risk and controls manager will be accountable for risk management processes, enforcement processes, and assessment processes carried out by the internal auditors. This person will assist in managing the day-to-day operations of Tacoma Power’s Internal Compliance Program (ICP).

  • Qualifications: A bachelor’s degree in engineering, business administration or directly related field and a minimum of five years of experience in an electric utility that includes experience with NERC standards and/or audits or cybersecurity, including one year prior lead/supervisory experience.

City Attorney

  • Department: City Manager

  • Description: The city attorney will serve as the trusted legal advisor to the City Council, city manager and all city officers, departments and boards. The city attorney will take a leadership role with management of a multifaceted department and be responsible for the oversight of municipal prosecution, labor relations, the City Clerk’s Office, litigation and other legal functions for the city. The city attorney’s team will represent the City of Tacoma in litigation, contract review and negotiation, and in important advisory capacities for the council, city boards and commissions, as well as department and division heads.

  • Qualifications: A juris doctorate, 10 years of professional legal counsel experience (administrative, civil, criminal), including prior supervisory and managerial experience and admission to the Washington State Bar Association and license to practice law in Washington.

Civil Engineer PE, Principal

Labor Negotiator
