Collision kills motorcyclist in Tacoma’s South End on Friday afternoon

A motorcyclist was killed Friday afternoon after colliding with a car on Pacific Avenue, according to Tacoma police. As of 4 p.m., all lanes of Pacific Avenue were closed between South 34th and South 37th streets.

The collision happened around 2:45 p.m., according to Tacoma police spokesperson detective William Muse. The department’s fatality accident team and crime-scene technicians have responded to the scene, Muse said.

CPR was performed on the motorcyclist at the scene, Muse said. He died later at a local hospital. No other injuries were reported.
