Behind the bylines: Subscribers invited to meet The News Tribune staff
It’s hard to believe March is just around the corner.
For me and my family, that signals baseball season is within reach and maybe, just maybe, the sun isn’t too far behind. For all of our journalists at The News Tribune, it’s time to set priorities for the year. That’s where our subscribers come in.
We want to meet you – in person! We’re hosting a subscriber meet-and-greet 6-7 p.m. Thursday, March 7 at the Rhodes Center at 950 Broadway in Tacoma. The meeting will be in the fifth floor conference room.
Please register at behindthebylines.eventbrite.com.
Our agenda will be mostly informal: I’ll talk for about 10 minutes, sharing with you our priorities in coverage for the year, then our journalists will introduce themselves. Next, we’ll answer some of the questions you might have. Subscribers can submit their questions online.
Our goal for this event is simple. We want to meet you, introduce ourselves and our mission and hear about your coverage needs.
This meeting won’t address questions you might have about your subscription or troubleshoot any customer-service issues. But, sit tight, we’re planning a couple more events over the next few months that will walk you through our digital transition, and we’ll have a customer-service agent with us to assist with any questions. More information on those events will come soon.
As a valued subscriber, I want to thank you for supporting local journalism. We couldn’t do it without your subscription, which pays for the reporters, visual journalists, producers and editors. We are your neighbors, and, like you, care deeply about our community.
We’re looking forward to meeting as many of you as possible.
