Cabin of semi-truck burst into flames Tuesday morning in Fife, police say

Tacoma firefighters were putting out a truck fire Tuesday at a Love’s Truck Stop in Fife.

At about 8:13 a.m., Fife police officers were dispatched to the overflow truck parking lot off 34th Avenue East and 12 Street East after the cabin of a semi-truck caught fire. Tacoma Fire was dispatched and was putting out the fire, according to a Fife Police Department X post.

The cabin was fully engulfed in flames. There were no injuries reported, according to a Fife Police Department spokesperson.

The cause of the fire has not been identified. The public was asked to stay out of the area.

10:20 a.m. update: The area has reopened, according to Fife PD.
