A Federal Way man who crashed into a semi-trailer ten days ago and later died at an area hospital has been identified, the Washington State Patrol announced Friday afternoon.

About 4:40 a.m. April 19, Otineru B. Tinifu, 62, was driving a Metro Bus east on state Route 18 in King County. Troopers say he crossed the center line and crashed head-on into a westbound semi-trailer.

Tinifu was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. The two men in the truck also were hurt. A 41-year-old DuPont man and a 34-year-old Shelton man were taken to Swedish Issaquah, according to State Patrol.

After the initial collision between the bus and truck, a westbound Federal Way man, 57, crashed into the back of the truck.

He was not hurt, according to State Patrol.

Traffic was slowed for more than four hours after the wreck.
