Man found dead in Pierce County house that burned Wednesday morning, firefighters say
A man was found deceased in a Bonney Lake home that burned Wednesday morning.
Firefighters responded at 5 a.m. to the Cedar View neighborhood. Callers told 911 a house was engulfed in flames with one person still inside, according to East Pierce Fire & Rescue.
Crews arrived and worked to knock down the fire. One of the two people inside the house escaped as did a dog. Firefighters discovered one man dead inside, the department said.
The Pierce County Fire Marshal and Bonney Lake Police are investigating the cause of the fire.
