South Tacoma apartment site sells for more than double its sale price in 2013
An apartment complex in South Tacoma recently gained new ownership and saw its sale price more than outpace its previous sale.
Bella Vista Apartments, 3502 S. Mason Ave., was sold May 7 by Bella Vista Apartments LLC, affiliated with a San Francisco-based investor Russell Long, to Bella Vista Business LLC of Fremont, California, affiliated with Paul Lin.
The sale price was $18.5 million. The site last sold in 2013 for just over $7.7 million.
The apartments were built in 1986. The complex consists of nine buildings with a total of 88 units.
Another LLC affiliated with Lin owns the Grand Pacific Apartments, 7015 S. D St. in Tacoma, purchased in November 2021 for $33.5 million. That property, constructed in 2019, replaced the historic Pacific Lanes Bowling center.
The sale of Bella Vista was first reported by the Seattle Daily Journal of Commerce.
