A 57-year-old woman who was killed while walking on the railroad tracks near Sunnyside Beach Park in Steilacoom on Monday has been identified, according to the Pierce County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Tracy Taubman of Fircrest died from multiple blunt-force injuries near Chambers Creek Road West. Her manner of death was listed as an accident, the medical examiner said in a news release.

Steilacoom Public Safety officers responded to the Sunnyside Beach railroad crossing shortly before 4 p.m., according to Steilacoom Chief of Police Tom Yabe. Within minutes, the first units arrived and found Taubman had died from her injuries, The News Tribune previously reported.

Taubman was pronounced deceased at 4:13 p.m. It did not appear that a crime or act of self-harm occurred based on available evidence, officials said.
