A fire inside a home in Lakewood displaced two people Wednesday morning.

West Pierce Fire & Rescue firefighters responded to the fire at about 6:20 a.m. in the 12200 block of Pacific Highway Southwest. It started in the bedroom, according to a spokesperson.

Firefighters were on scene clearing the fire for about two hours. No other buildings were affected and there are no reported injuries, the spokesperson said. The Red Cross is assisting the two occupants of the home.

The cause is under investigation.
