Man injured in shooting after argument at Tacoma business. Police say suspect is at large

An argument that led to a shooting early Saturday morning in Tacoma left a man injured, according to police.

At around 12:50 a.m. Saturday, Tacoma police officers received calls about the shooting from a bar/arcade-type business in the 700 block of Pacific Avenue, Tacoma Police Department spokesperson Shelbie Boyd told The News Tribune. Some sort of argument precipitated the shooting, she said, although it’s unclear what the fight was about.

The victim was conscious and able to talk when officers arrived, Boyd said. He was taken to a local hospital and reported to be in stable condition as of last night.

No suspect is in custody, she added.

Boyd urges anyone with details about the shooting to come forward.

“Please: If you know information, if you have video, let us know,” Boyd said. “That’s going to help us piece all these little puzzle pieces together to come to a complete picture and get the right person into custody.”
